BACKGROUND OF 2MILLION PRAYERS FOR NIGERIA Busy streets of Lagos Summary: We are a group of passionate Christians who want to see Nigeria become a developed nation, subsequently contribute directly to the development of Africa.
The conveyors of 2million PN became passionate about the reality of God working contextually in different nations of the world. The conveyors positively believe that Nigeria and Nigerians have a unique (although not superior or inferior) role to play in the acceleration of development of Africa, as historians have reliably discovered that virtually all the native races of Africa are represented in Nigeria. The conveyors are saddened that despite all the natural resources in the whole of the continent and in many cases the human capital, Africa as a continent has been left behind in the explosion of economic and techno-scientific ingenuity of the 20th century. The conveyors ask (as two million People will join us in asking, praying and fasting), why is indigenous Nigerians not conceptualizing, designing, developing and engineering our national oil refineries; Why don’t we have made in Nigeria airplanes, trains, cars, computers, agricultural machineries, hospital equipments and all the techno-scientific marvels that it takes to sustain an advanced economy and polity. The conveyors are of the opinion as socio-spiritual entrepreneurs that our responsibility is to raise the creative consciousness of Nigerians as a people, which we hope will ignite forces (under divine/God initiative and prerogative) beyond our wildest imagination – forces that will engulf the Nigerian political governance, our educational model, our communities and family values, our psycho-social interactions, our industries, economic and commerce initiatives- in reality readdressing, re-perceiving, reinterpreting, redefining, re-imagining, rethinking and reengineering everything about the birth, life and death in the human experience. |
